***UPDATE***  Lucille is very bonded to her sister, Thelma -- they are never too far away from each other.  Lucille will lick Thelma’s face and “groom” her, and she looks after her more-active sister, which is not to say that Lucille isn’t active; she’s just a little less beagle-excited and slightly more prone to observation rather than immediate activity. Lucille adores people, and once she knows you, she will look for attention and wildly wag her little tail as long as she’s being talked to and petted!  She has a very cute and (for a beagle) not very loud little howl, which she uses judiciously for attention or food, or at times to alert her human to something interesting. When her people are gone, Lucille is quite content being crated with Thelma, and will sleep in the crate at night or relax there during the day.  Lucille has been be fed in the same crate with Thelma (in separate bowls) with no issues and she's doing excellent with house training. Lucille did test positive for heartworms and will be treated this week.

After a very long car trip from Baton Rouge, LA, Lucille and her BFF, Thelma III have finally arrived in Florida. Although perhaps a little uncertain of this new adventure, they have definitely been glad of each other's company. Both little Beagle girls have warmed up greatly to their chauffeur and Foster dad. He will be sharing more details about their personalities with us soon as they settle in at home. We do believe they are a bonded pair and would like to see them adopted together. We look forward to sharing more about Lucille and Thelma with you!
