UPDATE 5/10/23-The foster family who has been caring for Lambchop for a few days says that he is shy at first but has warmed up to her after learning he is safe and cared for. He walks well on leash and enjoys going for walks. He is doing well with house training. He has begun to play with her other dog and they get along well with each other. He sleeps through the night in his crate and does ok when left alone while the foster mom is out of the home. Lambchop enjoys being petted and getting belly rubs.
loves other dogs and plays well, not rough at all. Lambchop loves to run and really enjoys the outdoors but does need a secure fence. He can be an active pup but he can also slow his roll and kennel up when told to. He listens great and takes correction appropriately. He will occasionally steal shoes and such but does not chew anything up. He was pretty timid and seemed unused to human attention when he first arrived. Lambchop is still a bit hand shy but is learning about humankindness and affection from his foster mom. He is going to make someone an almost perfect companion! Lambchop did test positive for heartworms but will be treated within a week of his arrival in Florida. He should be ready for sleepover about the third week of May.
