Jeeves came to us from a shelter in Alabama. He was surrendered by an owner who could just no longer care for him and their other dog. We have found him to be a delightful dog with a really pleasing personality ...although certainly not all beagle LOL. He is friendly and affectionate with people and loves to give kisses. Jeeves stayed with our intake coordinator for about a week and while there met about 12 different dogs and did quite well with all of them. When he moved to his current foster home he met another 15 or 20 more. He has done well with all the dogs he has met except for one who was very high energy and a little on the wild side. He would do well in a home with other easy-going dogs or could be an only dog as well. Jeeves loves to go on walks but could use a bit more training as he gets really excited about the whole experience. He is a great snuggler, enjoys toys and really seems to love children. His foster dad works outside of the home so Jeeves is crated for several hours during the work day. He does howl for the first 5 or 10 minutes but then settles down to wait patiently. Jeeves did test positive for heartworms. He is scheduled for treatment and would be ready for sleepover towards the end of the first week of May.
