ADOPTION PENDING

***UPDATE: Berna has arrived in Florida and is doing really well in her foster home. She requires an adequate amount of chew toys but her house training is excellent. :) She loves to be in her foster Mom's lap and go to sleep.
Berna has been in a wonderful foster home in Louisiana. She is ready to come to Florida and she is just sweet as pie! Berna is an energetic pup and loves playing outside with her foster-brother, but she is calm and respectful around the resident older, less-active dogs in her foster home. She likes playing with toys when no one is looking and has occasionally snagged a few things around the house that weren’t for her...but she does take correction very well. She is making good progress on house training; foster mom would give her a B+. Berna has her meals and sleeps at night in her crate. She does get a little anxious in her crate when she is alone, but her foster family has made progress conditioning her to be calm by playing music or podcasts for her when they are gone. She doesn’t get up on the furniture but could easily release her inner-snuggle-bunny under the right conditions. Berna is heartworm positive but ready for her treatment shortly after she arrives in Florida and should be ready for a sleepover sometime around mid-September as long as the family can observe the activity restrictions.
